RelyComply targets new markets through London expansion programme

RegTech RelyComply has joined the ninth cohort of Grow London Global, a programme designed to help ambitious businesses expand internationally as it considers its next phase of growth.

Run by London & Partners with support from the Mayor of London, Grow London Global connects participating businesses with investors, enterprise buyers and other founders to support overseas expansion. For RelyComply, the programme offers an opportunity to assess potential markets and determine where to focus its international growth strategy.

The selection builds on the company’s existing international presence. RelyComply’s platform already serves regulated organisations across 15 countries, giving the business an established footprint as it explores opportunities to enter additional markets.

The latest cohort began with an induction event at Banking Hall in London last week, bringing participants together with investors, enterprise buyers and alumni from previous programmes. Discussions covered the practical challenges of international expansion, including establishing operations in unfamiliar markets and navigating the expectations of large enterprise customers.

RelyComply head of sales Alex Bain represented the company at the event, where enterprise buyers highlighted several considerations for technology providers seeking to secure corporate clients. Integration, procurement and change management were identified as particularly demanding parts of the buying process.

Security teams also need to be involved from the outset, while buyers increasingly expect providers to demonstrate measurable value even when a proof of concept does not progress further. These considerations can influence how businesses approach enterprise sales and prepare their products for adoption across different markets.

For RegTech providers, addressing these requirements can be important when working with regulated organisations that must account for operational complexity, security expectations and existing technology infrastructure.
