FloQast, an accounting workflow automation platform, has broadened its strategic consulting relationship with PwC UK, which will now run fully outsourced finance functions for UK businesses on the FloQast platform.
Until now, PwC acted mainly as a consulting and integration partner for FloQast customers. Under the expanded agreement, PwC UK will itself operate the autonomous accounting platform to deliver complete Finance Managed Services (FMS). PwC UK FMS teams will manage clients’ finance operations directly within FloQast, automating work such as month-end close, account reconciliations, accounting operations and compliance tasks for those clients.
By pairing PwC’s finance professionals with FloQast’s AI-enabled technology, the two firms aim to help CFOs, finance directors and controllers tackle problems including shortages of accounting staff and disjointed close processes. CFOs will gain complete, real-time oversight of the close, addressing the visibility gaps often associated with hybrid working or conventional outsourcing.
The companies highlighted several further advantages. PwC’s ready-made technology stack is designed to allow deployments within weeks rather than months, so clients see returns quickly. Businesses can also scale service levels up or down with PwC immediately, avoiding the burden of recruiting or keeping staff.
A permanent digital audit trail is intended to ease year-end pressures for outsourced finance teams, while removing manual spreadsheets reduces risk, including dependence on individual employees. Finally, disjointed, spreadsheet-reliant closes give way to a simplified workflow driven by AI.
Built by accountants for accountants, FloQast’s platform lets finance teams automate accounting and audit workflows using auditable AI. More than 3,500 accounting teams worldwide use the platform, among them HubSpot, Emma Sleep, Huel and lululemon.
