OKX and Mastercard Bring Stablecoin Card to Most US States

OKX’s Mastercard-powered virtual card that unlocks stablecoin spending, OKX Card, is now available to eligible customers in most U.S. states and select territories, the company said in a Monday (Nov. 2) press release.

The OKX Card lets customers make purchases backed by USDC, USDT and USDG held in their OKX Pay wallet, anywhere Mastercard is accepted, without first converting to fiat or moving funds into a separate balance. There are no transaction fees or foreign exchange fees, according to the release.

The launch of OKX Card in the U.S. follows earlier introductions in selected markets in Europe, South Asia and Africa.

In the U.S., the OKX Card can be activated in the OKX app and added to Apple Pay or Google Pay, the release said.

Customers can choose Autopay to earn cashback on eligible USDG purchases, and USDG balances held on OKX Pay can earn yield between purchases, per the release.

“Stablecoins are increasingly used to hold value,” OKX said in the release. “What has been missing is a straightforward way to put them to work on everyday purchases without extra conversion steps, preserving the speed and efficiency that make stablecoins useful.”

Mastercard announced in April 2025 that it partnered with OKX to further its efforts to power stablecoin transactions for consumers and merchants by launching the OKX Card.

“We believe in the potential of stablecoins to streamline payments and commerce across the value chain,” Mastercard Chief Product Officer Jorn Lambert said at the time in a press release.
