NG.CASH raises $15m to widen credit access in Brazil

NG.CASH, a Brazilian FinTech with roots in the creator economy, has secured $15m in a strategic round to broaden credit and financial services for a younger generation of Brazilians.

Blockchain Capital led the investment. The deal takes the total NG.CASH has raised since it launched in 2021 to more than $65m.

The company began that year as a spin-off from a YouTube channel that then had 10 million subscribers and now has 20 million. The platform now serves over 10 million users. The raise comes as major venture investors try to reduce their exposure to a crowded US market by funding leading businesses in sizeable overseas markets such as Brazil.

Most of NG.CASH’s customers come from middle- and lower-income households across the country. Many have parents who have never held a bank account, so an NG.CASH account is often the first financial account anyone in the family has had.

On the regulatory side, the firm holds two licences from the Central Bank of Brazil: one as a direct credit society and one as a payment institution. An application for a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) licence is under way, which strengthens its regulatory position. Billions of dollars have already moved through the platform. Credit products such as Crédito CLT and Pix Crédito are fuelling this expansion, and the business aims to originate BRL 1bn (almost $200m) in credit by 2027.

CASH builds digital financial experiences shaped by technology and online culture. It aims to change how young people engage with money through user-friendly design and a digital-first approach.
