Moomoo Lets US Investors Fund Accounts 24/7 via Apple Pay, Google Pay

Moomoo has launched real-time account deposits through Apple Pay and Google Pay for eligible users in the US.

Built with Visa and Checkout.com, the feature lets users fund their accounts 24 hours a day, seven days a week, rather than relying on bank transfers tied to business hours.

According to Moomoo, users can put the deposited funds towards stocks, ETFs, options, cryptocurrencies and event contracts, which let users trade on the outcome of real-world events. Access to funds remains subject to funding availability, the company said.

Users select Apple Pay or Google Pay as their deposit method in the Moomoo app and pay with an eligible debit card stored in their digital wallet.

Moomoo said the setup reduces the number of steps needed to fund an account. It is also designed to credit deposits in real time, giving users faster access to funds when they want to invest.

According to Moomoo’s US support pages, the option is available to US residents with a valid Social Security Number who use US-issued debit cards.

Deposits are free, with a combined limit of US$10,000 per day and US$50,000 per month across both wallets.

Most deposits arrive instantly, according to the company, although bank reviews can occasionally delay them by several hours.

“Investors expect the same speed and execution in their investing experience that they access through other market-leading digital products,”

“Expanding our funding capabilities through Visa and Checkout.com makes it easier for users to quickly move money into their Moomoo accounts when they are ready to invest.”
