Krungsri JCB Ultimate Credit Card to Debut in Thailand in November

Krungsriayudhya Card and JCB International will launch the Krungsri JCB Ultimate Credit Card in Thailand on 1 November, targeting consumers interested in Japanese culture, fashion, dining and travel.

The new premium card is aimed at a segment the companies call “JNERATION” and expands their existing partnership, which already includes the Krungsri JCB Platinum.

Krungsriayudhya Card operates as the credit card business of Bank of Ayudhya (Krungsri), part of Japan’s MUFG Group.

The launch follows Krungthai Card’s (KTC) introduction of Thailand’s first JCB Ultimate card in 2022, which targeted customers earning at least THB 50,000 a month.

The Krungsri JCB Ultimate Credit Card offers five times Krungsri Points on purchases at selected Japanese fashion brands in Thailand. The same rewards apply to dining at Japanese restaurants worldwide and transactions made in Japanese yen in Japan.

Cardholders earn one point for every THB 25 spent on regular purchases. They can also convert their points into Japan Airlines (JAL) Mileage Bank miles at a ratio of two points to one mile.

Travel benefits include insurance coverage of up to THB 20 million for domestic and international trips.

Cardholders also get access to airport lounges across Asia, Europe and Hawaii through the JCB Airport Lounge Service.

Cardholders can also receive up to 5% cashback on fuel purchases at Bangchak service stations in Thailand. Reward offers and cashback are subject to applicable conditions.

JCB says its acceptance network covers approximately 72 million merchants across 160 countries and territories.

“Thailand is one of JCB’s most important markets in Southeast Asia, and Thai consumers’ enthusiasm for Japan continues to grow,”
