ID-Pal deal arms ThirdEye against AI-fuelled financial crime

ThirdEye, an AML platform provider, has chosen ID-Pal to supply the KYC and KYB functions within its offering across Australia and New Zealand.

Under the partnership, ID-Pal’s verification technology will sit inside ThirdEye’s AML platform.

Banks and other regulated firms in the region are under mounting pressure to tackle fraud, tighten compliance and build trust from the moment a customer signs up, and the deal is designed to address those demands. It also extends ID-Pal’s expanding presence in overseas markets.

Organisations in Australia, New Zealand and the UK will now be able to use ID-Pal’s document authentication, biometric checks and address verification together with ThirdEye’s current modules. The combined service aims to give firms across these markets a more streamlined option that can scale as their needs grow.

ID-Pal applies AI to confirm that identity documents are genuine, verify both people and companies, and assist with detecting fraud. The company takes a privacy-preserving approach, shielding sensitive customer data while returning verification outcomes in real time.

ThirdEye pairs automation with in-market knowledge to give banks, financial institutions and other heavily regulated businesses a secure tool for countering financial crime. Its adaptable models cover customer screening, transaction monitoring, case management and regulatory reporting, helping clients safeguard their customers, control risk and keep pace with compliance obligations.

ThirdEye general manager Hamish Shaw identified progress in AI as a major driver behind the agreement. ThirdEye general manager Hamish Shaw said, “The financial crime landscape has never been static, bad actors are always evolving new techniques to keep us on our toes.
