For multi-jurisdictional firms, regulatory change now arrives faster than human teams can track it.
CMC Markets has become the latest example of a firm choosing automation over manual effort, with RegTech firm CUBE reporting that the trading provider has cut the time spent on regulatory monitoring by half.
According to CUBE, CMC Markets became a customer in 2025 and has since replaced its manual horizon scanning process with CUBE’s Intel platform across its global offices. The change has given the firm’s compliance teams an automated and repeatable process that can be evidenced to regulators and auditors.
The pressure that drove the move was familiar. As CMC Markets expanded internationally, its compliance function faced mounting regulatory complexity across a widening set of jurisdictions. CUBE notes that horizon scanning at the firm was largely manual, which created a heavy operational burden and made it hard to monitor regulatory developments at scale.
After running a competitive evaluation of providers, CMC Markets selected CUBE and implemented a global licence for Intel. The platform was rolled out across the firm’s offices worldwide, giving teams a single, centralised approach to regulatory intelligence and horizon scanning rather than a patchwork of local processes.
The results, as outlined by CUBE, go beyond time savings. A single licence now covers 49 issuing bodies, and adoption across compliance teams has been strong, with tailored updates improving visibility of regulatory developments. Teams can now access relevant updates more efficiently and consistently across the firm’s global operations, while the 50% reduction in monitoring time frees compliance professionals to focus on analysis and action rather than searching for changes.
