Slash is a modern neobank that makes it easier for businesses to move, manage, and understand their money. A lot of businesses rely on a bank, a separate card provider, a payments tool, something else for treasury, and none of it really works together, so what we’ve done is bring all of that into one platform. The goal is to give users a much more complete view of their finances and make the everyday work of managing their money significantly easier.
Slash has become one of the more innovative companies in the fintech space without a huge team, and that’s very intentional. Staying lean lets us remain close to our users and respond to changes in technology much faster than a traditional financial institution can. We’re about one-fifteenth the size of some of our peers in the fintech space, yet we’re still one of the fastest growing financial companies in the United States.
Lately, we’ve invested heavily in updating our public API. Traditionally, when someone clicks a button in a web application, the browser calls a private endpoint on the application’s server. We’ve been exposing more of that functionality through public APIs.
Our view is that software will increasingly be used by AI agents rather than directly by people. Agents won’t use a mouse to click through a website; they’ll interact with endpoints. We’re therefore making more of the Slash platform accessible in ways designed for agent-driven workflows.
We’re also adding AI features to products such as bill pay and accounting.
