Former BlackRock Director Joins Freestone Capital Management as Managing Director

Freestone Capital Management (“Freestone”), a Seattle-based Registered Investment Advisor, announced that Carolyn Barnette has joined the firm as a Managing Director on its investment team.

In her role, Carolyn will draw on perspectives from across the investment team to shape and deliver timely market and portfolio insights for client advisors. She will develop commentary and resources that support client conversations about the markets, portfolio positioning and performance, and investment opportunities across asset classes.

“It was obvious the moment I met Carolyn that she makes everyone around her sharper,” said Ann Gookin, Partner and Head of Investments. “She translates complexity into clarity, and she does it generously. I’m looking forward to the impact she’ll have with our advisors, with clients, and with the whole team. We’re lucky to have her.”
