The announcement was made on 6 October 2026. MoonPay, which says it serves more than 35 million customers across 180 countries and holds regulatory licences in multiple jurisdictions including the United States, will supply four products: Headless Ramps, which embed fiat entry and exit flows natively inside the ether.fi app without redirects; MoonPay Trade for cross-chain routing and asset conversion; MoonPay Enterprise for virtual bank accounts supporting ACH, Fedwire, SWIFT, Faster Payments, SEPA and Open Banking rails; and MoonPay Crypto Deposits for inbound transfers from external wallets and centralised exchanges. The four products will roll out progressively to ether.fi’s user base over the coming months.
The core friction the partnership targets is well known in self-custodial product design. Where a traditional neobank can bundle its card, bank account and funding flows through a single compliance check, a self-custodial platform has historically been forced to source those functions from separate vendors. The result is that users face repeated identity verification steps, and the transaction experience breaks at the handoff between the app and an outside provider. Ether.fi and MoonPay say that by consolidating onto one infrastructure layer, a user completes verification once and that credential carries across products, subject to local regulatory requirements.
Rok Kopp, co-founder and chief growth officer of ether.fi, framed the benchmark clearly: “The bar for ether.fi isn’t other crypto products. It’s whatever banking app a user opens every morning. Every integration we make is measured against that standard.”
The release includes transaction data attributed to Paymentscan, an on-chain card-tracking service.
