ERGO NEXT unveils AI tool for 15-minute property inspections

ERGO NEXT Insurance, the digital-first insurer serving small businesses, has rolled out an AI-driven property inspection tool designed to shorten the time it takes entrepreneurs to secure commercial property cover.

With the new self-service tool, business owners can carry out and submit their own commercial property insurance inspections in roughly 15 minutes. The technology uses vision AI to guide users in real time as they work through the process, giving them a quicker and more flexible way to obtain commercial property coverage suited to their operations.

Inspections are an essential step in arranging commercial property insurance, but they have typically meant a wait of between five and 10 days while a field inspector is scheduled to visit the premises in person. ERGO NEXT aims to replace this approach by letting business owners handle the inspection themselves, at a time that suits them.

According to the company, the efficiencies delivered by AI will let it widen access to commercial property coverage, while cutting the time both the insurer and its customers spend on inspections.

The new feature forms part of ERGO NEXT’s wider push into AI-native insurance experiences intended to make business cover simpler and less time-consuming for entrepreneurs to obtain. It is also the first feature developed under joint sponsorship between ERGO NEXT and the ERGO Group, the main insurance arm of Munich Re, following the acquisition completed in 2025. The partnership pairs ERGO NEXT’s digital approach with ERGO’s international insurance know-how and scale to drive further product and technology development.
