Ema secures $77m Series B to scale AI Employees

Ema, an enterprise platform that provides agentic AI Employees, has closed a $77m Series B round as it looks to take its autonomous workforce technology to more large organisations.

Creaegis led the investment, while existing backers Accel, S32 and Prosus each added to their previous stakes. The deal takes the total capital raised by Ema to $140m and lifts the company’s valuation to more than four times the level set in its earlier round.

Every major existing shareholder committed more capital this time than before, a decision the company attributes to the investors’ first-hand view of how customers are using, renewing and expanding their use of the platform. The fresh funds will go towards building out Ema’s go-to-market team, where several senior hires have already been made, alongside further development of the platform itself.

Ema said that while a large number of businesses remain at the experimental phase with AI, its AI Employees are already running in live environments at Fortune 500 scale. Revenue has risen 50X over the last two years, and customers generally see their spending double as they move from a first deployment into two or three further use cases.

The firm’s product-led approach means organisations can roll out and extend AI Employees without depending on heavy consulting-led implementation work. A business can start in a single department and then broaden its use across HR, IT and Finance on one platform, giving staff a consistent AI Employee experience throughout the organisation.
