DualEntry Launches Tasks, Bringing AI Agents Into Everyday Finance Work

DualEntry, the AI-native ERP for modern finance teams, has launched Tasks, a new workspace that brings accounting work, approvals, exceptions, and AI agents into one place.

Instead of finance teams moving between different parts of the ERP to figure out what needs attention, Tasks surfaces the work as it happens. Agents, exceptions, alerts, and notifications can automatically create tasks, giving teams a live view of what needs action.

Teams can also use agents for recurring work such as chasing overdue invoices, preparing finance updates, coding transactions, and coordinating approvals, with an audit trail of what was done.

“If an agent has enough context to do the work itself, it can handle that in the background, tee up the result, and bring you in when judgment or approval is actually needed,” said Santiago Nestares, co-founder of DualEntry. “The payoff is a close that keeps moving throughout the month, with less chasing, less clicking around, and more of the work already done by month-end.”

Because Tasks is built directly into the ERP, it reduces the need for separate close trackers and manually maintained checklists. As work is completed, the task board updates with it, so teams can see what’s been resolved without maintaining a second record elsewhere.

The launch is another step in DualEntry’s move from AI-native ERP toward an agentic ERP — software that does more than surface information or answer questions, but can increasingly take on finance work directly while keeping accountants in control.
