Dost’s AskDost puts AI agents in finance teams’ hands

Dost has introduced AskDost, a business intelligence assistant that lets finance and operations teams question their ERP data in natural language, trigger approved workflows and deploy AI agents tailored to their own processes.

AskDost links directly to a company’s ERP and other financial data sources. Users can ask questions conversationally and then act on the answers in the same thread. The tool prepares actions across invoices, approvals, payments and reconciliation, and can amend GL coding rules from plain-language instructions.

Nothing is executed until a person signs it off, and each change is logged in an audit trail showing what was altered and who authorised it. Businesses can buy AskDost as a standalone product without a Dost account, or use it within the wider Dost platform.

The assistant gives finance leadership, procurement, accounts payable and accounts receivable a shared view, with planning and forecasting connecting all four. A finance leader could, for instance, pick a single P&L line and trace it down to the underlying invoice lines within one conversation, removing the need to call the controller or build an Excel pivot table.

Rather than asking teams to adapt to new software, Dost has built AskDost around hyper-personalisation. Using Dost Studio, each finance team can create and launch its own apps and agents within the portal, moulding the assistant to its working practices. Queries are saved once, shared across the team and refreshed on a schedule, so colleagues rely on a single up-to-date view instead of scattered exports.

The launch arrives against a backdrop of slow AI progress in finance.
