CTOS Digital expects a RM16 million revenue hit in 2026 as a cybersecurity incident continues to disrupt some of its credit reporting services.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing, the company said its CTOS Score and reports related to the Central Credit Reference Information System (CCRIS) remain temporarily unavailable. Other services continue to operate.
CTOS first disclosed the incident on 23 September, reporting unauthorised access to certain files containing a limited subset of consumer information.
The company estimates a RM3 million revenue impact in the third quarter and RM13 million in the fourth quarter.
It also expects a RM12 million impact on profit after tax and minority interests (PATAMI) for the year.
The estimates assume the affected services remain unavailable until the third week of October.
Each additional week could reduce revenue by another RM2.5 million and PATAMI by RM1.3 million.
CTOS said the preliminary figures include remediation and restoration costs and remain subject to review.
The company has implemented security measures and aims to complete independent reviews in October.
Affected services will resume once remediation and independent validation are satisfactorily completed.
