Cohere has partnered with Singapore’s Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT) to develop AI applications for national security operations in highly secure environments.
The agreement follows a successful pilot in which Cohere deployed and operated AI within secure on-premises environments, integrating with existing systems and workflows.
CSIT, a technical agency under Singapore’s Ministry of Defence, will use Cohere’s enterprise AI models and North, its agentic AI platform, to support AI deployment within secure networks.
The two organisations are developing and evaluating applications for secure knowledge retrieval, automated analysis and report generation.
“As cyber threats grow in sophistication and threat actors use AI to amplify their attacks, CSIT is developing AI-enabled capabilities to strengthen Singapore’s digital defence and secure our digital systems,”
The partnership gives CSIT access to AI capabilities designed for government, defence and critical infrastructure organisations.
These include on-premises deployment and centralised governance tools for managing AI agents, workflows, policies and compliance.
Cohere’s offering also supports integration with existing systems, role-based access controls and interoperability between AI models. It is designed to handle thousands of users and high-priority workloads in secure environments.
“Our partnership with CSIT reflects how Cohere’s AI solutions can meet the unique security, governance, and deployment requirements of public sector organizations while delivering the advanced AI capabilities needed for national security,”
