Cashku and Muamalat Invest Expand Shariah-Compliant Fund Access

Cashku has partnered with Muamalat Invest to offer Shariah-compliant funds on its digital wealth platform.

The deal, reported by Startup Rise, gives eligible users access to money market, sukuk, Malaysian and global equity, gold and Shariah-compliant private credit funds through a single app, with no sales charges.

Muamalat Invest is the Islamic fund management arm of Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad. The partnership widens digital distribution for its Shariah-compliant products beyond the bank’s own channels.

Retail funds will be open to eligible Cashku users. Wholesale funds, including the private credit products, are restricted to investors who meet the Securities Commission Malaysia’s (SC) criteria for sophisticated investors.

Cashku said it assesses each user’s eligibility and investment suitability during onboarding.

The Muamalat Invest deal arrives two weeks after Cashku signed a distribution partnership with Kenanga Investors, which brought selected funds to the platform from a minimum investment of RM10 with no sales charge.

Citing the SC’s Annual Report 2025, Cashku said Malaysia’s Islamic capital market grew 4.31% to RM2.7 trillion in 2025, accounting for around 63% of the domestic capital market.

Islamic assets under management rose 11.35% year-on-year to RM274.01 billion, outpacing the 6.9% growth recorded across the wider fund management industry.

“Shariah-compliant investing has become an established part of Malaysia’s investment market. This partnership aims to make these options more accessible and convenient for investors.”

Cashku, operated by SC-licensed Advisonomics Sdn Bhd, describes itself as an AI-native digital wealth platform.

The company raised RM10 million in a strategic investment round in August 2025 to scale its platform across Malaysia.
