Paysys by NTT DATA has deployed an unattended payment terminal at Menara Kembar Bank Rakyat, the bank’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
The installation marks the first unattended terminal deployment under its collaboration with Bank Rakyat, allowing customers to complete cashless transactions independently without staff assistance.
According to Paysys, the terminal supports secure, contactless payments and extends digital payment acceptance beyond traditional retail and service environments.
“Unattended payments are becoming an increasingly important part of how businesses and organisations deliver convenient customer experiences,”
Meanwhile, Ahmad Shahril Mohd Shariff, Group Chief Executive Officer of Bank Rakyat, said the deployment supports the bank’s ongoing digitalisation efforts.
“The deployment of an unattended payment terminal at Menara Kembar Bank Rakyat is a practical step towards making everyday transactions more convenient and seamless,”
The initiative also aligns with Bank Rakyat’s Untuk Semua aspiration, which guides its efforts to improve services for customers, employees and visitors.
The terminal adds to earlier work between the two firms, which launched an Android payment soundbox for Malaysian SMEs combining payment acceptance, real-time voice notifications and digital receipts in a single device.
