Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) has officially launched the Mona L03 in Australia and New Zealand, its third model in the 2 markets after the X9 and G6.
The company announced the launch on Weibo on Sunday, describing the Mona L03 SUV as its first model to bring advanced driver assistance to overseas markets, equipped with its second-generation VLA (Vision-Language-Action) system.
Xpeng said in July that driving assistance features similar to Tesla's (NASDAQ: TSLA) FSD were scheduled to arrive in Australia in 2027.
The L03 starts at A$41,900 ($29,250) in Australia and NZ$49,900 ($27,980) in New Zealand, according to Xpeng's website.
The model is available in both markets as an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) or a battery electric vehicle (BEV).
The EREV variant is Xpeng's first model featuring its Kunpeng extended-range technology to reach Australia and New Zealand. The company said in July that it would bring its "1 model, 2 powertrains" strategy to Australia.
According to its configurator, the EREV variant has a 37.2-kWh battery and a 1.5-liter engine, offering a WLTP electric range of 215 kilometers and a combined range of 1,017 kilometers. Its electric motor delivers a maximum output of 178 kW, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 6.8 seconds.
The vehicle supports DC fast charging at up to 123 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes. It also offers 6-kW V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) capability.
The Mona L03 measures 4,650 millimeters in length and has a wheelbase of 2,850 millimeters.
