With the help of Bugatti’s restoration program, the one-of-a-kind mirrored Veyron shines just as much as it did at its debut over a decade ago.
If you have a hard time keeping household mirrors clean, you may want to steer clear of this one-of-a-kind Bugatti—especially now that it’s been tediously refurbished to day-one perfection.
The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse was a record-breaking roadster when it debuted in 2012, and it was brought to an entirely new level when someone commissioned one with a body made entirely of polished aluminum to create a mirror-like finish. The one-of-one Veyron, which is chassis 8.100, required massive aluminum blocks weighing up to 20 tons to be delivered to Bugatti’s headquarters in Molsheim, France, when it was built in 2014. At the time, it was reportedly the most expensive Veyron ever created.
It’s been about 12 years since this custom-made Veyron’s reveal, but the rolling mirror remains one of the most unique iterations to come out of the Bugatti Atelier. As such, its homecoming for a recent full refurbishment and certification was a celebrated event. The automaker’s La Maison Pur Sang program carefully restored the supercar to its original specs as requested by the owner, which included removing aftermarket personalization and bringing its mirror finish back to smooth perfection.
Underneath all that aluminum, the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse makes some serious power. An 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine is good for 1183 horsepower and tops out at 254 mph.
The mirrored Veyron is just as flashy inside as it is outside.
