PTV Group and rFpro collaborate on traffic simulation to advance ADAS and AV development

PTV Group, part of Umovity, has announced the integration of PTV Vissim, its leading traffic simulation software, with rFpro, a high-fidelity driving simulation solution suite trusted by leading automotive manufacturers and motorsport organizations.

By combining detailed traffic simulation with immersive vehicle-level driving simulation, the integration creates a powerful environment for developing, testing and validating ADAS and autonomous driving technologies for both real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and driver-in-the-loop (DIL) applications as well as high-fidelity training dataset generation.

The new integration brings together the strengths of both simulation environments, enabling automotive engineers and researchers to evaluate vehicle behavior and automated driving functions in highly realistic, dynamic traffic scenarios.
