Lincoln Electric’s EV chargers earn NEMA Make It American product certification

EVSE manufacturer Lincoln Electric has earned product-level certification under the National Electrical Manufacturers Association’s (NEMA) Make It American program.

Contractors, government agencies, fleet operators and other EVSE buyers want to buy (and in many cases, are legally required to buy) hardware that contains a specified proportion of US domestic content. But how can they prove that the products they’re buying really contain the proportion of domestic content that manufacturers advertise? NEMA’s Make It American program provides an independent framework for validating domestic manufacturing and content requirements.

Lincoln’s Velion DC Fast Chargers are manufactured in the US with more than 70% domestic content. This not only supports compliance requirements for federally funded projects, it also helps customers reduce supply chain risk, and gives them greater confidence in the security and availability of their EV charging infrastructure, the company explains.

Achieving Reliable, Dynamic EV Fleet Charging

“Charging infrastructure is a critical long-term investment, and customers need confidence in both the product and the company standing behind it,” said Bruce Chantry, Vice President, Electric Vehicle Solutions. “All Velion DC Fast Chargers are proudly engineered and manufactured in the US and designed for durability, serviceability, cybersecurity and sustained operational performance. By combining domestic engineering and innovation with a resilient domestic supply chain, we help our customers reduce risk, strengthen reliability, and keep fleets moving with confidence.”

“Lincoln Electric is setting the standard for what domestic EV charging manufacturing looks like,” said NEMA SVP of Strategic Growth and Membership Alexa Burr.
