Li Auto's i6 production reaches 200,000 as November capacity targets 20,000

Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) has produced 200,000 units of its Li i6 battery electric SUV as deliveries of the updated model begin and the company accelerates its production ramp-up to shorten customer wait times.

Li Xinyang, Li Auto's product line head, announced the milestone on Weibo on Friday, about 13 months after the 5-seat SUV first went on sale in September 2025.

Deliveries of the 2026 Li i6 began across China on October 29, Li said. The company prepared vehicles for near-term delivery in advance and has accelerated its production ramp-up.

The current wait time for Li i6 orders is 7 to 8 weeks. Customers ordering now can take delivery before the end of the year, he said.

Under the current production plan, Li i6 capacity will reach 20,000 units in November and increase further in December, according to Li.

The production milestone follows a decline in monthly i6 deliveries. Deliveries of the updated model and the capacity ramp-up will be key developments to watch in Li Auto's battery electric vehicle business.

Li i6 deliveries totaled 7,379 units in September ahead of its latest update, down 56.54% from August and accounting for 23.19% of the company's total that month, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

The Li i6 recorded 160,221 deliveries in the first 9 months of this year, bringing cumulative deliveries since launch to 189,192 by the end of September. The 200,000-unit milestone refers to cumulative production, rather than deliveries.

Li Auto launched the 2026 Li i6 on October 28, keeping its official starting price unchanged at 249,800 yuan ($37,210) while upgrading its in-house developed driver-assistance chip, battery and cabin features.
