Hyundai India and Jio-bp Partner to Expand EV Charging Network

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced a partnership with Jio-bp to integrate their respective EV charging networks, giving EV users across India access to over 37,000 charging points through the myHyundai app.

Through the collaboration, Hyundai EV customers can discover, access, and use Jio-bp pulse charging stations directly via the myHyundai app. Jio-bp brings over 7,000 active charging points across more than 300 cities, many located along major national highways to support long-distance travel. Its infrastructure includes high-capacity DC fast chargers ranging from 60 kW to 480 kW, with a network uptime of 96%. HMIL’s high-capacity chargers will also be gradually integrated into the Jio-bp pulse charge pro app.

Notably, the myHyundai app is open to all EV users, regardless of vehicle brand, making the expanded network accessible to a wider audience.

M. Hyun Sup Lee, Executive Director, HMIL, said, “We are witnessing a shift in customer concerns from range anxiety to charging anxiety. This partnership with Jio-bp pulse marks another significant step towards strengthening the EV ecosystem in India by enhancing charging accessibility and convenience for our customers.”

Mr. Sarthak Behuria, Chairman, Jio-bp, added, “India’s shift to electric mobility depends on building trust at scale. By bringing our nationwide network and high-performance charging infrastructure to Hyundai, we are not just adding charging points — we are building that trust together.”

HMIL currently operates 183 proprietary DC fast-charging stations and plans to scale this to 600 stations by 2030.
