Emami is poised to capitalize on the anticipated revival of rural demand alongside urban premiumization trends. With favorable monsoon seasons and increased disposable income, the company expects a notable uplift in rural consumption. Investments directed towards innovative brands will play a pivotal role in enhancing future revenue streams. By strengthening its diverse product lineup and digital presence, Emami is positioned for robust growth, driven by powerful brands and effective execution.
Home-grown FMCG major Emami on Tuesday said the company "is structurally positioned" to benefit from an expected recovery in rural demand and the prevailing premiumisation trend in urban markets, supported by its diversified portfolio, digital capabilities and growing presence in new-age consumer brands. Addressing shareholders at the AGM of the company, Founder and Non-Executive Chairman S Goenka said that favourable monsoon conditions, improving agricultural output and rising affordability are reviving rural consumption, a key market for the FMCG major. "A substantial part of Emami's business is linked to rural India, where our brands carry decades of trust and reach. As rural purchasing power recovers and GST rationalisation widens access to organised categories, we believe Emami is structurally positioned to capture a disproportionate share of that recovery," he said. Goenka said urban premiumisation, rising wellness consciousness, rapid digital adoption and growing demand for trusted brands continue to create significant opportunities across categories. "The convergence of rural recovery, urban premiumisation, digital adoption and wellness-led consumption gives us a powerful runway for growth," he said.
Highlighting the company's long-term growth strategy, Goenka said Emami has built multiple growth engines by strengthening its non-seasonal portfolio, expanding into new-age consumer platforms and deepening digital capabilities.
