Ford's Electric Mustang Gets Cheaper And More Rugged For 2027

Ford has reworked the entire Mach-E lineup for 2027. The electric pony car now gets standard larger batteries and a slight price drop compared to last year's model. The base Select RWD now starts at $42,460 with destination and delivery fees included, a $600 discount compared to 2026.

Order banks for the refreshed electric crossover open October 22, 2026. A new off-road Trail package joins the range for the Select eAWD, with Rally shipments expected to start arriving in the first quarter of 2027.

Every 2027 Mach-E now comes with an extended-range battery as standard equipment. Select and Premium trims carry 88.0 kilowatt-hours of usable capacity, while GT and Rally step up to 91.0 kilowatt-hours. Ford says final EPA-estimated range figures will be announced closer to the car's on-sale date.

A new secondary drive unit powers the front motor on eAWD models. Ford says it delivers the same output as the outgoing unit but costs less to produce, which helps offset the larger battery and keep the Select RWD at around $42,000. Here's how the pricing shakes out in its entirety (all prices include the mandatory $2,045 destination fee):

Ford's onboard power system, Pro Power Onboard, comes standard on the Trail package and is available on Premium and GT, including the Mustang Mach-E Rally. The 400-watt, 120-volt system draws from outlets in the cargo area and rear center console to run small accessories or charge devices.

5, Ford's hands-free highway driving assist, is standard on GT and Rally and optional on Select with the Tech Pack Lite or Premium with the Premium Tech Pack.
