2027 Mazda CX-90 Lineup Gains Two-Row Options by Absorbing the CX-70

Mazda is bidding farewell to the CX-70 and folding the two-row model into the larger CX-90 lineup.

Say your goodbyes to the Mazda CX-70. Just two years after launching the model, Mazda came to its senses and realized that it was somewhat harebrained to separate the two-row model from its identical three-row CX-90 sibling. Thankfully, the first step in solving any problem is admitting that you have a problem to begin with. Mazda’s done that part and is simply folding the CX-70 into the CX-90’s lineup starting with the 2027 model year.

Aside from the addition of the two-row versions, the 2027 CX-90 lineup gets revised rear suspension bushings and a new rear suspension crossmember that aims to make the ride a little more comfortable. Pricing for the entry Turbo Select trim now starts at $41,345, which is $515 higher than last year. It’s a pretty big jump to the Turbo Preferred, the next trim up, which now adds standard roof rails and starts at $45,495.

Unfortunately, the consolidation means that the two-row option is available on fewer trims starting in 2027. The Turbo Premium Sport is the first trim available in either two-row or three-row configurations. Pricing for the two-row starts at $48,525, while opting for the third brings it to $49,725. The two-row disappears again after the Turbo Premium Sport and doesn’t return until the Turbo S Premium Sport, which starts at $55,185. Opting for the rearmost seats on that trim moves the price to $56,385.
