The new off-road-focused trim adds even more ground clearance than the Mach-E Rally for a considerably lower price.
The 2027 Ford Mustang Mach-E lineup is less expensive at the top end and more expensive at the bottom end, though thankfully, the higher pricing comes with larger batteries. The 2027 Ford Mustang Mach-E starts at $42,040 in its base rear-drive Select trim, which marks an increase of $2200 over the least expensive 2026 Mach-E.
The price adjustments can be attributed to Ford replacing the Mach-E’s front motor with an equally powerful unit that costs less to produce. The more affordable front motor allowed Ford to ditch the previously standard 70.0 kWh battery pack. Instead, Ford is bringing more range to the lower trims by making the extended-range battery standard. Starting with the 2027 Mach-E, the Select, Premium, and Trail trims now come with an 88.0-kWh battery, while the GT gets 91.0 kWh of usable battery.

What’s the Trail trim, you ask? It’s a new off-road-oriented trim based on the Select grade that adds an additional 0.2 inch of ground clearance in the rear over the Mach-E Rally. It shares its steering rack with the Rally, comes with specially-tuned front and rear struts and springs, and costs $47,335. The AWD-only off-roader sits just above the AWD Select and rear-drive Premium, both of which come in at $45,040. Adding all-wheel drive to the Premium adds $3000 to the price.
In a fortunate turn of events, the top of the 2027 Mach-E lineup is a bit less expensive for the new model year.
