2027 Ford F-150 Gains a New Engine and a Carhartt-Branded Model

The twin-turbo 2.7-liter V-6 has been replaced by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6, and several models feature new grille designs.

Back in August, we reported some notable changes coming to the F-150 lineup, and now Ford has confirmed those updates by revealing the 2027 F-150. Along with revised grille and wheel designs, the F-150 gets a new base engine, upgraded BlueCruise hands-free driving-assistance technology, and new lower-priced versions of the Tremor and Raptor off-roaders.

The visual changes are so subtle that you’ll probably only notice them if you work for Ford or own an F-150. The XLT trim moves to a simpler grille design with two thick bars across the front and adds a new 20-inch wheel for the Black Appearance package. The Lariat, meanwhile, goes in the opposite direction with a more intricate grille featuring four thin bars. The changes to the grilles on the King Ranch and Platinum are nearly imperceptible, and the Platinum has new 22-inch wheels.

0-liter V-6. 0-liter has the exact same peak output, producing 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. 7-liter, which should make it feel peppier and help with towing.
