Who knew eyewear and blush made for such good company? Apparently Warby Parker, who is partnering with Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty for a limited-edition collection, as the brands announced on Thursday.
The collaboration consists of five Warby Parker frames “reimagined in a color palette inspired by” shades of Rare Beauty’s popular Soft Pinch Liquid Blush. The campaign stars Katseye member Megan Skiendiel, who can be seen modeling each of the creative combinations.
Designed to complement each other, the coordinating frames and blushes are available in the following combinations: Franny, inspired by warm chestnut Resilience; Elwell, inspired by soft neutral pink Encourage; Millie, inspired by true rose Worth; Gillian, inspired by nude mauve Hope; and Albie, inspired by deep berry Faith.
The collaboration also marks Skiendiel’s first solo campaign. Tapped due to her “expressive, color-forward style,” the 20-year-old pop star “embodies the collection’s spirit of individuality and the idea that eyewear and makeup can work together as one considered look,” per the official statement.
In a statement sent to WWD, Kim Nemser, Warby Parker ‘s Chief Merchandising and Product Strategy Officer, said, “We loved the idea of bringing together two different worlds of personal style — eyewear and beauty — in a way that feels both unexpected and intuitive. Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Liquid Blush has such a recognizable color palette, and translating those shades into five of our frames gave us an opportunity to create something really special. ” Chrystina Woody Train, SVP of Global Brand Partnerships at Rare Beauty, added: “As with all collaborations, we start with our community.
