This power tool brand has become my go-to for keeping my yard in order, and it's not Milwaukee or Ryobi

Taming a large yard is tricky. You can pay a lot of money for a lot of property and then find that you have no time to actually maintain it. That's when you might have to make some concessions and only get to some parts of the yard every once in a while or even hire someone to maintain the lawn for you.

For anyone that doesn't want to rely on paying someone else to cut their grass, pull their weeds, and edge their sidewalks, there are plenty of power tools that can help. Unfortunately, finding the time to actually do so is the trickiest thing, especially if you want your yard to look as good as it can. I am currently facing this dilemma, as I have small kids and I'm trying to juggle maintaining the yard with limited free time. I need efficient tools that can run for a long time. That's why Greenworks has become my go-to outdoor power tool manufacturer.

Here's how I decide between the 18V and 40V versions of power tools.

I was gifted a Greenworks 80V Cordless 16" Brushless String Trimmer for Father's Day the first year after we'd purchased our house which has just over an acre of property. There are parts of my property line that are trees and wooded and we don't bother pulling weeds or trimming down. But the areas around the house and by the end of the driveway by the road need constant attention.

I've been delinquent in keeping up with it, but I want to get better.
