Text, shop, done: Alexa for Shopping is now just a text away

Select customers can now text Alexa for Shopping their requests, and it gets to work finding the right products, building their shopping cart, seamlessly making purchases, and providing delivery updates.

Alexa for Shopping—in the Amazon Shopping app, on the website, and now by text—doesn't just answer questions. It takes action on customers’ behalf, including ordering your weekly groceries, reviewing a recipe and adding the right items to your cart, looking for great deals or new products, or texting you when an item hits your target price.

Texting with Alexa for Shopping starts rolling out today to a small group of U.S. customers by invitation only, with the option expanding to more customers over the coming weeks.

Alexa for Shopping is the best personal AI agent for shopping. With access to hundreds of millions of products in Amazon’s store and others across the web, along with detailed product information and reviews, plus customers’ personal shopping history, it helps customers explore tailored product recommendations, research and compare options, check up to a full year of price history, track deals and price drops, and take action on their behalf—from purchasing items when the price is right to getting their weekly groceries.

How to use Alexa for Shopping to compare products, check price history, auto-buy items at target prices, and more

From price tracking to automated purchases to new release alerts, here’s how to get the most out of Amazon’s AI shopping assistant.

Alexa for Shopping also remembers what matters to customers, so it can make suggestions based on information customers have shared with it.
