Shuffle Board: Puma Names CCO, Calvin Klein Taps Product Chief

Puma has named former Unspun CEO Arne Arens chief commercial officer while reshaping its supervisory board following Anta Sports’ acquisition of Artémis’ stake in the German sportswear company.

Arens will join Puma’s management board Nov. 15 and oversee its global commercial organization and marketplace strategy, including sales across all channels and markets.

He brings more than 25 years of sporting goods and outdoor industry experience, including senior roles at Nike, The North Face and Boardriders.

“Arne’s unique skillset combines commercial expertise, consumer insights and brand leadership,” Puma CEO Arthur Hoeld said, adding that Arens will play a role in the company’s effort to become a top-three global sports brand.

Separately, Puma has elected Dennis Tao chairman of its supervisory board following his court appointment as a director effective Oct. 21. Jeanne Huang also joined the board.

Tao heads mergers and acquisitions and capital markets at Anta Sports and previously served on Amer Sports’ board from 2019 through 2026. Huang is CEO of Pipa International, which works with ANTA Group brands on product innovation and creative collaborations. She previously served as senior vice president of the Anta brand and spent more than two decades at Nike.

Tao succeeds Héloïse Temple-Boyer, whose tenure concluded following the completion of Artémis’ sale of its Puma stake to ANTA earlier this month.
