Selena Gomez Shimmers in Custom Ruby-Red Prada and Diamonds at Fourth Annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit

The Rare Beauty founder told WWD on the red carpet why the event and foundation "means the world" to her.

Selena Gomez shimmered in a custom ruby-red Prada ensemble as she hosted the Fourth Annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit on Wednesday night at The Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.

The Rare Beauty founder‘s look was crafted with allover red sequins and beading. The silhouette featured a curved, strapless neckline and a slight cinched waist for added definition.

Sculptural, peplum-like detailing emphasized the hips, with a pencil-style skirt that extended to the ankle. Gomez kept the red theme going with her pointed-toe heels, while jewelry from Bucherer, including diamond earrings and a ring, added even more sparkle to the look.

The fourth annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit gave Gomez an opportunity to reflect on the fund’s process. “This event means the world to me,” Gomez told WWD.

“This fund has become my whole world, and I’m just so proud of how far we’ve come. We still have a lot of work to do, but we’re so happy.”

The Rare Impact Fund is a mental health initiative that serves as a philanthropic extension of Gomez’s Rare Beauty brand. The organization, which was founded in 2020, aims to support youth struggling with their mental health, providing resources and support in their communities.

The organization now reaches roughly 3.5 million young people annually through collaborations with local nonprofits across five continents.

Wednesday night’s Rare Impact Fund Benefit came less than one week after Gomez’s Rare Beauty reunited with Shay Mitchell’s travel brand Béis .
