Seatlr has introduced destination guidance, city community rooms and scheduled safety news reports in its travel app, bringing several destination information tools into one service for travellers.
The app is organised around individual cities. Users can enter a city room by linking a flight number to their journey, while people researching a trip can browse a list of 100 popular destinations without entering flight details.
Its AI destination guidance is designed to answer practical travel questions. It covers local laws, cultural customs, restaurants, cafés, museums and lesser-known attractions, giving travellers general context before and during a visit.
The guidance is not intended to replace official sources. Visa rules, legal requirements and local regulations can change, so travellers are advised to verify important information with government agencies and other authoritative providers.
The city room format is the app's organising layer. Instead of presenting travel planning as a broad search across multiple services, it groups information around a specific destination and lets users move from local guidance to community discussion and, if they choose, safety reporting.
The Top 100 Cities list is intended as a shortcut for people who want to explore a destination before booking a trip. That list does not limit the safety news feature, which can be used more broadly and serves a different function from the city browsing tool.
Travellers can switch on a feature called Track safety news from within a city room. When enabled, it sends four scheduled reports a day through private in-app messages on security, health and weather developments relevant to the destination.
