Prime Video’s ‘Fourth Wing’ series casts Esther McGregor and Emilio Sakraya as leads

Esther McGregor and Emilio Sakraya will play Violet Sorrengail and Xaden Riorson in Prime Video’s adaptation of Fourth Wing .

Author Rebecca Yarros is an executive producer alongside Lisa Joy, Michael B. Jordan, and showrunner Meredith Averill.

The novel follows Violet, who is forced to enter a dragon-riding college in the kingdom of Navarre.

Amazon MGM Studios has officially cast Esther McGregor ( We Were Liars) as Violet Sorrengail and Emilio Sakraya ( Rhinegold ) as Xaden Riorson in Prime Video’s upcoming Fourth Wing series .

The highly anticipated romantasy drama is based on author Rebecca Yarros’ New York Times best-selling novels.

Fourth Wing follows Violet Sorrengail, a fiercely intelligent and often underestimated 20-year-old. Violet is forced by her mother to enter the brutal world of Basgiath War College, where she joins hundreds of candidates striving to become dragon riders for the kingdom of Navarre.

Prime Video’s epic saga will feature new characters including Jamie Campbell Bower as Celeborn and Zubin Varla as Khamûl.

The ruthless and enigmatic Xaden Riorson, a fellow candidate with a complicated past, becomes her enemy—and eventually, her love interest—as the two navigate the war college's deadly trials together.
