A change in materials on the Air Max Dolce is coming soon in two colorways.
Two recent sneaker trends are converging at once on an archival Nike sneaker more fit today than for the time from which it came.
The Nike Air Dolce will soon get a faux crocodile skin upper in two colorways: black and pink. A full blackout has been called for on the former shoe from its laceless, glossy upper to the raised heel with an opaque Air Max unit. Just the slightest bit of deviation comes via the TPU heel counter, which uses a moderately lighter shade of black, as well as a black and white insole with a cyber grid print.
More diverse color blocking can be found on the pink edition of the sneaker loafer, which uses a light version of the color for its synthetic upper and an even lighter version for its heel stablizer. Both the lining and the sole unit, which includes another opaque Air Max unit, then arrive in black.
Typically, the Air Max Dolce appears with a molded cage atop the foot with the same grid pattern depicted on the insole, as well as another series of tech-suggestive lines along its sidewalls. A switch to synthetic crocodile skin makes the upper uniform while also adopting a material that’s proven popular in sneaker loafers, but also sneakers as a whole.
Nike originally released the Air Max Dolce in 2001, an era rife with experimental Air Max models and many of them with a similar futuristic approach.
