Nike has released countless premium renditions of its beloved Air Max 95 sneaker over its three decades-plus on the market, but few are as luxurious as the aptly named Air Max 95 Lux. Produced in Italy and first released in 2001 alongside classic models like the Air Force 1 and Air Trainer SC High, the Italian-made Air Max 95 Lux was revisited by streetwear brand Supreme in 2019.
Now, for 2026, Nike is once again bringing back the Air Max 95 Lux, this time in OG Big Bubble form and in collaboration with Milan retailer One Block Down. The One Block Down x Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble Lux is expected to be released in four colorways, a rollout which will begin in November with the launch of a Black/Gym Green makeup.
The One Block Down x Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble Lux features a full premium leather upper, replacing all of the typical Air Max 95 materials including its signature synthetic suede and mesh. Instead, the upper’s muscle fiber-inspired ribbing gets a rippled leather look that carries over to where mesh would typically be used. Leather also appears on the insole, which has been given a red, white and green color combination by the Italian retailer.
Of note is the sneaker’s $200 price tag, a considerable drop from the $500 retail pricing of Supreme’s collaboration . This price decrease seems to hint at a move away from the Italian manufacturing previously seen on the Air Max 95 Lux, although it doesn’t take away from the sneaker’s atypical premium construction.
