Nike Has Cooked Up Two Special Foamposites For Two of Its Elite Colleges

LSU and OSU get heavily thematic renditions of the Air Foamposite Pro.

Nike has been stepping up its game in the shoes it makes for some of its elite college athletic programs. The brand has long large collections of its latest Pegasus sneaker for a fleet of schools, and the University of Oregon regularly gets special-edition sneakers among the Swoosh’s most coveted models. Two more colleges are being shown love, though, with dedicated Foamposite sneakers on the way.

The Nike Air Foamposite Pro “OSU” and “LSU” cook up the molded sneaker in the colors of Ohio State and Louisiana State. The Buckeyes edition is the more muted of the pair, as its Foamposite upper appears in white but also carries a repeating pattern of the Buckeye stickers that OSU football players are famously rewarded with. This mark appears again more visibly on the heel, while the Swooshes are rendered in red. Ohio State’s logo then appears on the tongue, while the heel pull reads, “Go Buckeyes.”

For LSU, a brilliant gold upper carries a tiger stripe pattern and is paired with a purple collar, eyestay and outsole. The tiger eye logo then appears on the heel, LSU’s initials pop up on the tongue, and the heel pull reads, “Geaux Tigers.”

The primary difference between the Air Foamposite Pro and the Air Foamposite One is the large Swoosh that appears on the former’s sidewall. The heel branding is also different, as the Air Foamposite One carries the “1-Cent” logo for Penny Hardaway, as are the outsoles.
