Marico expects to accelerate the profitability of its digital-first portfolio, with 4700BC likely to break even significantly ahead of its earlier target and two other brands expected to turn profitable over the next year, as the FMCG major sharpens its focus on scaling existing businesses in the second half of FY27.

The company is also looking to take more of its digital-first and premium brands into general trade, tapping its distribution network to improve reach, margins and profitability. Brands including Plix , True Elements and 4700BC are already being tested in the channel.

"We are looking at an accelerated break-even for 4700BC, and the other two brands are expected to break even over the next one year," Saugata Gupta , MD and CEO, Marico, told ETRetail in an interaction.

The company expects its digital business to first achieve double-digit EBITDA margins and subsequently move towards mid-teens over the next two to three years.
