MariaDB Foundation said its MariaDB Server Ecosystem Hub has passed 200 entries, reaching the total within six months of the directory's launch.
The Hub is a curated directory of products, services and open-source projects approved for use with MariaDB Server. It covers cloud and hosting platforms, monitoring, backup and recovery, security, migration, connectivity, DevOps, analytics, AI, application development, content management, eCommerce and business applications.
The milestone expands MariaDB's effort to give users a single place to find software and services that work with its open-source database. The Foundation also introduced what it calls Solution Stacks, pre-configured architectures designed around specific use cases.
The first stack combines MariaDB Server with Nextcloud and Passbolt. The package is aimed at organisations that want to manage file collaboration, password management and data control with open-source software rather than proprietary cloud services.
MariaDB launched the Ecosystem Hub to address a common issue for users building software systems around databases: finding compatible tools across infrastructure, security, operations and applications. Each listing explains what a technology does and how it works with MariaDB.
According to the Foundation, listings in the Hub are free and open to maintainers, technology companies, cloud and hosting providers, application developers and service providers whose products or projects support MariaDB Server. That makes the directory both a discovery tool for users and a visibility channel for vendors and open-source developers in the MariaDB community.
Current entries include database connectors, management tools, managed MariaDB services, hosting providers, monitoring platforms, migration tools, enterprise applications and other open-source projects.
