Krea launches Krea 3 image editor for commercial teams

Krea has launched Krea 3, an image-editing model that ranks near the top of CPI-Bench, a benchmark for real-world image editing.

The release adds a new product to the growing market for AI image tools aimed at commercial design, advertising and online retail. Krea said Krea 3 Ultra scored 4.81 out of 5 on CPI-Bench, placing it behind GPT Image 2.5 and ahead of GPT Image 2, Seedream 5 Pro, Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro.

Krea said the model can produce 2K edits in under eight seconds from start to finish. Pricing is USD $0.03 per image at 1K resolution and USD $0.06 per image at 2K.

Krea is positioning the model around image editing rather than image generation alone. The company said the system is designed to preserve products, characters and small text while changing elements such as materials, outfits, lighting and settings.

Features include regional editing, which changes only selected parts of an image, and bounding boxes to determine where new elements appear. Users can also supply up to six reference images for a single edit, including style references, and train the model through LoRA on a specific product, person or visual style to keep outputs consistent, according to Krea.

The model supports native 2K resolution and can work up to 4K for uses such as print and large-format screens, Krea said.

Víctor Perez, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Krea, linked the launch to demand from commercial teams working with large volumes of images.

"Editing models are already used across eCommerce, film and advertising, but they've been held back by speed.
