Flore Larger joins the French luxury group on Dec. 7 from investment bank Lazard Frères.
NEW RECRUIT: Flore Larger is to join Kering as corporate communications director on Dec. 7, reporting to Laurent Claquin, group chief brand officer.
Claquin confirmed the hire to WWD and said Larger would “define and lead Kering’s corporate communications strategy,” working closely with his Image and Experiences, Community Engagement and Employer Brand teams “as well as the group’s corporate functions, the houses and our communications and image teams worldwide.”
“She will help articulate Kering’s vision and ambitions and strengthen engagement with its stakeholders, while supporting the distinctive identity of each house,” Claquin added, referring to a brand stable that includes such marquee names as Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta and Balenciaga.
Larger, who joins from investment bank Lazard Frères, succeeds Paul Michon, who left Kering to join Renault Group as corporate communications director.
Her remit encompasses media relations, influence and reputation strategy, crisis communications, engagement with institutions and industry bodies, and the development and rollout of the group’s corporate narrative, according to Kering.
Larger will also oversee communications relating to Kering’s social and environmental commitments, Claquin noted.
Before joining Lazard Frères in 2021, Larger spent a total of 11 years at communications agency Image 7, which has historic ties to the Pinault family, reference shareholders of Kering.
She also held senior communications roles at Sanofi, EDF Renewables and BNP Paribas, “combining senior positions at major international groups with strategic advisory work for executive teams,” according to Kering.
