Julia Fox has been building a name for herself as a fashion boundary-pusher over the past few years. The actress relies heavily on unique, out-of-the-ordinary footwear to create looks that make her stand out in a crowd. Most recently, Fox slipped into a pair of Cesare Paciotti boots with a dramatically elongated pointed toe.
The “Uncut Gems” star attended the Room to Grow annual gala, which took place on Tuesday at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City. The black-tie-optional event brought together more than 400 leaders and changemakers to raise funds for early childhood programs, including Fox, who naturally put her own spin on the dress code.
She went with a pair of Cesare Paciotti knee-high boots. The boots featured an ultra-elongated pointed toe, a stiletto heel measuring around three inches and a distinct pleated, ruffled overlay detail over the vamp near the toe.
The shoes are made with a glossy, smooth black leather upper and feature inner side zippers. They are completed with decorative side straps with silver buckles around the top shaft and across the lower foot.
Dangerously sharp pointed toes have been trending in the footwear space and have been spotted in the latest collections by Saint Laurent, Gucci and more.
Fox is known for purchasing archival or older shoe styles from resale sites and reinvents them with her looks, and this outing was no exception. She paired the boots with an archival piece from Jean Paul Gaultier’s spring 1997 collection , featuring a menswear-inspired trompe-l’œil three-piece striped cotton shirt with an integral button-down waistcoat and a matching necktie.
