The bluish-gray pumps feature a unique texture that further elevates a simple pump silhouette.
Gracie Abrams took the stage in a stylish pair of pumps during SiriusXM’s Small Stage Series held at Irving Plaza on Oct. 24 in New York. Abrams performed top hits from her album “Daughter from Hell” along with a few fan-favorite tracks.
On stage, Abrams wore gray-blue Jude Inez pumps crafted from a unique python leather. The shoes, which currently retail for $1,090, are equipped with a conical heel standing at approximately 4.13 inches, which transitions into those textural python leather uppers, an exotic leather choice not commonly seen. Almond-shaped toes gave way to plush cushioned insoles in black with gold accents reading “Jude” in the center.
The Inez silhouette is made in Portugal; however, the leather is sourced from Spain. Python skin is prized in the footwear industry for adding a textural aspect to a common shoe. The material is lightweight, flexible and is often cut into large panels to cover the uppers or vamps of pumps, sneakers and dress shoes. Other times, python leather is utilized for accent work or trim for a more cost-effective but impactful option seen via capped toes or on straps.
Fun fact: scale pattern achieved on the leather is dependent on where the skin was taken from, either the belly or back of the snake. Abrams has worn a slew of designer and athletic shoe brands, including Chanel , Puma, Adidas and Converse, among others. The musician also favors flats or jazz-style silhouettes that are typically easy to walk in.
