Sarah Burton and her design team presented a range of silhouettes including wedge heels, boots and more.
Sarah Burton and her design team at Givenchy got creative with the spring 2027 shoes that hit the runway in Paris on Friday, presenting pom-pom embellishments, edgy zippers and a range of silhouettes.
Burton said of the collection, per an official press release, “I wanted a sense of balance and clarity. A wardrobe to bring precision and simplicity to dressing as we speed through the multiple perspectives and perpetual motion of all our lives.”
Indeed, there were shoes for a variety of occasions in the collection. Mirroring some of the clothing and accessories, there were several zipper-focused footwear styles, ranging from a folded-over boot with a biker edge to a unique thong sandal with a curved, two-pronged heel. The unzipped aesthetic was also seen with a sculptural wedge heel and a knee-high boot which looked related to the label’s Shark boot line.
On a separate wavelength from the zipper-and-leather styles, the footwear lineup also included high-heeled sandals adorned with fluffy pom-pom embellishments, made from layers of thin strips of fabric. This whimsical style, along with a pointed-toe mule silhouette, was elevated by a slanted stiletto heel with an angular, brightly colored cap grounding it.
The two final looks of the show featured shoes with a pom-pom embellishment as well, but with a fluffier, gradient material and the aforementioned sculptural wedge heel, this time in gold.
In the more traditional realm, a classic pointed-toe pump with a tapered heel hit the runway too, as well as a laceless dress shoe.
