EXCLUSIVE: Van Dang Fragrances Expands Its Retail Footprint

The scent brand, cofounded by Kim-Van Dang and her husband, Anthony Roberts, is debuting its full assortment in two Saks doors.

Adding to its roster of premier retail partners, Van Dang Fragrances is officially launching at Saks.

The scent brand, cofounded by former beauty editor and fragrance distributor Kim-Van Dang and her husband, Anthony Roberts, will debut online at saksfifthavenue.com and in-store at two major locations: Fifth Avenue and Brickell, Miami.

The lineup features its full assortment, including its home fragrance line — comprising candles, reed diffusers, room and linen mists, and crystal meditation sets — as well as its extraits de parfum collection, which debuted in April 2025 with its nationwide wholesale launch at Neiman Marcus. Van Dang Fragrances first debuted at Bergdorf Goodman in 2021.

“For an indie brand, our strategy is very different from most indie brands,” Dang said. “They usually start in small boutiques and then build up, whereas we started at the top because that’s just what we know. Those were our partners for a long time.”

Before Van Dang Fragrances existed, Dang and Roberts operated their own sales and distribution company, KVDAR Inc., for about two decades, during which they distributed and grew both Maison Francis Kurkdjian and Cire Trudon in the U.S. When it came time to market and take on national wholesale for their own brand, the duo went straight to the retailers they’d already formed relationships with.

These retailers, Dang continued, are where their target consumers shop, even though interest and opportunities in the category are rising on TikTok.
