Salon Art + Design Nicky Dessources said the lineup of international names reflects the breadth of what collectible design can be today.
MILAN — Art and antique showcase Salon Art + Design continues to reinforce its role as a platform for dialogue around collectible design.
On Thursday, organizers told WWD the upcoming edition will be enhanced by designers, studios and design houses pioneering this conversation, mainly from Europe.
The 15th edition of the event will unfold at the Park Avenue Armory Nov. 4 to 8 and will showcase 10 special design exhibitions by 2024 Olympic Torch designer Mathieu Lehanneur from France; Paris- and New York-based gallery Pierre Augustin Rose; French watchmaker Charles Oudin; art and design platform Les Collection; London’s Polmar Gallery; Mexico City-based design laboratory Studio Sten; online shopping destination Abask; Swiss design house Vitra; Brazilian designer Jader Almeida; Miami-based interior design studio Maison Mischief, and Paris-based design firm Andrée Putman Studio.
In total, Salon Art+Design will bring together 40 galleries from across the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Brazil, India, Israel, Switzerland and Canada.
For Dessources, the list of special exhibitors is made up of names driving the conversation around collectible design.
“For our 15th edition, we’re thrilled to bring together an extraordinary international group of galleries while also creating space for special presentations that allow designers and studios to articulate their own point of view. Together they reflect the breadth of what collectible design can be today,” Dessources said in a statement.
