Dove Cameron is the most recent celebrity to take wedding-day dressing and make it her own. The actress and singer shirked the traditional white dress in favor of a custom suit courtesy of Giorgio Armani for her Montalcino town hall ceremony to now-husband Damiano David in Italy on Thursday.

The “Descendants” star’s suited look brought power dressing to a new level. Cast in bridal white, Cameron’s wedding day suit included an elongated blazer with sharp shoulders, a cinched and belted waist and an exaggerated frame.

Proportions for the look were given a playful touch, thanks to the boxy nature of the suit jacket and the extra-wide-leg trousers that paired with the piece. Other suiting staples for Cameron’s attire included an angular collar with a white tie and a seemingly semi-sheer blouse to boot.

Instead of a train, Cameron’s Giorgio Armani suit included a one-shoulder cape that trailed the actress and singer as she walked the streets of Montalcino. Heels completed the look, with glam including dark touches to contrast the crisp white of Cameron’s bridal suit moment.

There’s been a recent resurgence among celebrities pivoting from traditional wedding-day attire for looks that are tailored and distinct. Dua Lipa, who wed actor Callum Turner last May, led that recent charge with her custom Schiaparelli couture wedding-day skirt suit and coordinated wide-brim hat. For a second ceremony, she opted for a traditional bridal gown.

Lipa’s look was quite the callback to Bianca Jagger, who married Rolling Stones lead singer Mick Jagger in Saint-Tropez in 1971.
